I don’t know why a nation of 1.4 billion people consistently fails to produce a world class track and field athlete. Little to no culture of sports, corrupt administrators, no infrastructure, widespread poverty forcing people to hunt for jobs rather than honing their skills, general lack of interest, and funding. However, these excuses never stood in the way of Milkha Singh.
